Read the current issue while you can, sounds like one more and that may be it.

Dog Car II great writeup, so was Andy H's work, some authentic old school from someone been around long enough that they weren't in pre-school when old school was current.

If the article is true then... then Super Street won?!

Being a lame-ass with a horrid body kit and supersized wheels with a shitload of stickers matters more than actual performance?!

I'd never thought to see the day.

ps,
Though we all saw SCC going into a decline...

i would never say "super street won", there are just more rice tools out there reading SS, rather than performance-based readers reading a performance magazine.
even though SCC had become a great example of tool-based journalism lately.  USCC will be missed im sure, but the biased writers sure wont be.  Eric Hsu should write for SS, and Andy Hope can drive in all the Viper tests SS conducts.

Doesn't suprise me...I mean, who really gets their tuner info from magazines anymore?
There's this thing called the internet, where you can get it for FREE!

Nope.

I'm pretty sure you can find ANYTHING on the net if you know how to search.

Try me...

damn
that sucks big time!!!
I've always loved reading SCC!!!
I still remember the first issues I picked up..
I was about 17, and had just gotten hooked on the original Gran Turismo for the PS1, and I saw a magazine with a 22B vs EVO comparison. I picked it up to look at, and I loved how detailed everything was, telling about all the cars. I had a subscription for a while, but I just pick up random issues.
I was really hoping to follow project 325i!! Cuz that first article really got me into the E36 BMW 3 series!!
I have loved this magazine, it focused more on the cars and their performance, than the bling and decals strewn across the other wannabe mags.

Yes, you can get plenty of automotive and tuning information on the internet.

However, magazines provide information that the average Joe can't. Personally I'll miss the write-ups and road tests of new cars written by someone who feels the same way I do about performance cars.

I'll miss comparison tests for the same reason.

And while you can find anything online, I like having magazines pluck out the best-of-the-best and feature their cars in the pages of the magazine.

This is truly a sad day for me. I entered journalism school because I wanted to work and write for SCC. But the magazine industry is getting hit very hard, and this a result of all of that. Hopefully SCC will relaunch in a few years when their is a market for it again.

Oh yeah, you can tell i read super street by my super trick ride.  The fading paint, the dents, the steelies on one side and blades on the other, the non-existant radio antenna and motor, the lack of internal luxuries, 3 tinted windows, no power locks, almost no speakers, oh and not to mention the 10 or so gallons of water that i found in my trunk, those are all the rave in super street.  But it's quicker then stock, grippy only on the right turns haha, sounds better then stock without being a nuisance, and it provides good feedback.  Does it look like trash...absolutely.  Does it give me all the more reason to thrash it...absolutely.  Is it fun...Hell yeah!

So, does this mean I get my 25 bucks back for the coming year or do I just it it?

RIP SCC, you've been my favorite mag since I was in highschool.
