I just bought a 08 impreza 4 door, i was just wondering how far i could push it with this car...is it possible to GET to wrx power but do it on my own and save money in the process by not just buying a wrx?....or is it even worth it? it comes stock with 170 hp i should add...not bad...I bought this car mainly for traveling to the slopes, but every time i see a wrx im envious, heh.  

Why not just upgrade the suspension part of things. Some light-weight (good quality) rims and some sticky tires should give you more than a few smiles down the curves. People should not discount their cars just because it's not the "super badass" version. Get a couple of bolt-ons also to keep the happy moments going too. How many dumb kids do you see round town with "badass" cars being pimped out...    

How much do you think i could get some new wheels/tires that are a decent size for? id prob go craigslist.com ... How much benefit would an intake bring me?
