I have a 1995 Honda Prelude with a base model F22A1 and it has a problem. My thought is that if a F22C1 makes 100 HP naturally aspirated then how hard would it be just to drop it in. I mean it is the same series engine right? Will it bolt up? ECU the same or similar? Questions I have Do You Have answers?

Dude...F22C1 is a 2004 - present Honda S2000 engine. It's not going to fit in your Predlude.

That is like the lamest answer I have ever heard. Give me a real reason. Like is it a different bolt up? Different motor mounts, positioning? Come on Specifics man I'm not stupid.

It might fit... Engine mounts might require some alignment a new computer to go with it, but there might be issues with the transmission since I don't think they make a Transverse engine at a 60 degree angle like the one found in the S2000, but that's pure speculation in my part.
I'm not sure, but I think the RSX-S has the same engine and runs as a FWD, so why not just get a Tranny from that, a Comp, engine and mounts from an S2000 and try to give it a shot...
I'm not an expert on these type of things, so I'm sorry if I'm not of much help...

Thanks for some enthusiastic help. I just found out that the F22A1 that is in the car is in pretty bad shape. It probably needs a rebuild at the least. I'm game for any challenge, but money is the issue right now. I'm kinda broke so the cheap right is probably the one I'm going for. Thanks again for the input. If you hear of a cheapish F22C1 or a butt load of stuff for a RSX-S let me know. Thanks.

Dude...how is my reply to you the lamest answer. I told you a F22C1 is from a RWD Honda S2000. You have a FWD Honda Prelude. It's not going to fit unless you have a butt load of money and even then there are much better options. You say you're not stupid, but you think a F22A1 is the same series as F22C1. They're not like K-series. They're 2 totally different engines. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_F20C_engine

So basically I was saying it was lame because of the lack of info. I understand that they are a different series. Thanks for that. It answered my question. So the next question would be rebuild the f22a or would a h22a drop in. Cost effectiveness is an issue. So would a rebuild be better? If I especially could find a VTEC head that would bolt on. So suggestions?

Get the H22 and save yourself the trouble. I think you don't even need the tranny for those swaps. I think there's also a tech article in this site which shows you the way to do it, but I think its for the old Accords, but in retrospect it should give you a guideline and put you in a ball park of stuff you might need...
Sorry for not being of much help...

If you want a VTEC then maybe a H23A would work.
