They didn't need to announce power ratings, one test drive in the "big black buford" made it obvious.

GM up its quality, dude thats hysterical.  "We've gone from turd to slightly less crappy."  You mean that difference in quality.  I've always owned GM vehicles because they were cheap and fairly durable.  I never had any illusions as to weather or not my car would see 300,000 thousand on the odometer because the car will be in a scrap yard long before that happens.  I live in upstate New york where road salt is the enemy.  There is no point to shelling out more money for a volkswagon or toyota because the bodys won't last 10 or 15 years. You find yourself a cheap V-6 gm vehicle, and hammer the snot out of it.

You don't by a camaro or firebird because they are an evil ill handling *** in the rain or snow.  I swear subaru was think of people from New York and michigan when they built the WRX.

That's true they're really upped they're game into Korean quality... But back on subject; The Vauxhall counterpart is fairly alright. Nothing to brag about, but still competent. It's more of a slight against the Mustang who's V8 pumps out about the same as the Camaro's V6. As a mainstay of the american sport car industry...maybe not, but as the resurection of the original muscle car: Fast, cheap, and Fun (if priced accordingly) it could be... I mean the GTO's for sale at the used car lots sell for about 16-20K. The body's cheap to make. They just stuffed it with a few good things like independent suspension and.....well that's about it...

If I were to buy one though I'd get rid of the 20's first thing.... I can get some 18's just as wide and not look retarded.

I wonder if SCC would do a Project V6 Camaro?

How can anyone speculate about the quality of the vehicle before it is even released to the public? The GTO has more than independent suspension going for it. Go to that used car dealership, sit down inside one, fire up the worlds best small block V8, then come back here and do a real review. I have driven many GTOs, and for the money, there isn't much out there that is more fun to drive. That car was only hampered by conservative styling and poor marketing.

Haven't I told you I used to own muscle cars? I know the feeling I'm just bored of it... I rather cruise on one and take a quick thrill than anything else...

The GTO did have the worlds ugliest body for a muscle car and people confused it for a taurus must of the time.

Again you're letting pride come in between your arguments... A Ferrari Enzo I think has a 6.0 and so does a GTO which one do I like the best? I'll concede this: For the price the GTO is the most affordable (used) muscle car out there that is not a shoddily built mustang with its generic interior that all Fords share... It's just too ugly to stare at...
