Dodge Neon speed sensor keeps blowing.

My daughter bought a 96 neon  real cheap but seems to be a great car. except for one thing I have put in two speed sensors and they each quit working after about ten miles.  is there something that could be blowing it I am not aware of and can anyone HELP!!!!!!

They are great cars, especially used. Some light work and re-bored ports will probably make it last forever.

If you didn't get an answer yet as to the Speed Sensor- the 95-97s seemed to have random elctronics/electrical behaviors. Nothing catstrophic, mind you, just odd. Stop by a dealer and have them show you and your daughter how to do the self-disgnostic check, and the car will likely tell you. I can't remember how, and being in Iraq right now, can't go find out. They should have a code manual you can borrow, download or copy too.

hey yeah neons have a nasty habit of haveing the speedometer connections going bad
