So the passenger roll-up window on my old 93 century kinda came off the tracks one morning; the window had some dew on it, and since we were already driving, i just pushed out on the window a bit while rolling it up and down, which usually works, only this time, the window popped out of its frame. It isnt broken or anything, but i just cant roll it down without it getting all crooked, and with (san diego) summer coming up on my ac-less buick, i would sure like rolly windows. How could i put the window back on its tracks? And whats a good site that could give me directions on this? Google didnt have anything helpful, really. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

welcome to my world. A few years back my mercedes had the same problem on all but one window. I had to spend one whole day fixing the thing, but if miserable failure and success has something to offer is this. You remember every grueling moment.
First you'll have to remove the door panel. Take a screw driver and take off any screws you see that ar in the door panel and take off the stuff that comes with it. Organize it well cuz I lost a bunch of screws when I did it. Check if any of the plastic moldings around the door lever (do not remove the door lever you'll bend the wire!) will interfere and try to carefully remove them and don't just yank them out like I did. Then check by wiggling it to see if anything else is holding it back. Then grab both ends and pull up and it should pop off; now you'd just have to wiggle it out of the door and you'll see the tragedy that beholds you. To put the window back in its rails is kinda easy if you have a friend to help you. Have him pull it out then you get you hand in there and try to aling it with the rails. But check for this. On the lever for the window there should be like a yellow plastic rectangle that hooks up to the lower window frame and the lifting arm. If you see it there GOOD. If its on the bottom of the door cracked in half, BAD. Most likely it broke and you'll have to go to junkyards and argue with the A-hole there that you only need a plastic fitting and not the whole door! But he won't listen to you (probably). The other thing is that you can do is this. Think like I would. Get a piece of wood, thick washer, piece of metal, and try to insert it in the place of the original factory piece. Make sure to see if the lifting arm has a round or square hook up it'll help in your endeavor to keep your invention in place for a long time. The next thing I would suggest is try it on a weekend EARLY on a weekend, because it's just horrible, just horrible....Believe me its horrible. I'd rather watch a whole marathon of The Rosie O' Donnel show and have my brain explode in an act of pitty than doing that, but GOOD LUCK!!!

and as if that wasnt bad enough, someone tried to break into my lincoln (the buick is now my sisters, but since i broke it, i gotta fix it) and now the drivers door wont unlock. so i have to get in through the passenger door. or the sunroof.
how many months worth of bus passes can i buy with the blue book value of an 85 continental in barely usable condition?

The same thing happened to me in my civic. To get the crank off there is a "C" looking clip behind the crank you can either try to push it off from the side it's open on with a small flat screw driver but most of the time it just turns. Or get a paper clip and bend it scoop it under the closed side and yank it off. Take off the door panel like the other guy said, and in my car all I had to do is undo the bottom bolt that holds the track, move it over slightly to get the window back in and bolt the track back on place. I hope this helps.
