I was like everyone else 6 months ago. "The new GTR is coming" and "I bet is gonna be badass." But now the more I look at it; the more I think about it. I'm more in the terms of "I don't like it." Now before you get the pitch-forks and the flaming torches here's why.   First off the transmission is in the back in an attempt to either copy the corvette into not being a mid-engine supercar or reduce costs, but then it does the unthinkable and has paddle shifters on the steering wheel pretending to be a mid-engine supper car (its not manual.) What is this the poor mans R8? But it can't because its worth 70 grand. Thats the value of a house around here. Another wanabe italian supercar feature is the "normal, sport, RACE!" buttons on somewhere on the car. Its like the Accura NSX, kick ass but why, when I can get a Ferrai or a better ferrari used? (if I could afford one Ha! ) I don't know its my opinion only I'm not saying it sucks, its just more in the terms of. "Some rich dude somewhere who can't afford an Audi R8 is probably gonna get one, and just cruise it all the way down to Starbucks and pretend its an Audi."  

eh...not sure I agree but you do make some points. Let me see if I understand you. ts not a manual, nor does it have a manual option? If so that sucks... For the price its fast as *** though.  

Well look at it this way. An NSX Type R is about the same price as the lowest priced Ferrari, but which one would you get? Even with all those upgrades (which are awsome) the Ferrari would still handle better and you could tell people you own a Ferrai and then they would spit in your car when your not looking....  But you are correct on that one the new GTR is as cheap as a Corvette and as good as a Porche as they say, but it just doesn't flow together...The car I mean. It looks like an Audi, mixed witha ferrari, who's parents were inbred as well (the maxima and 350Z). I don't know I guess I don't like how everybody is going upstream in their designs. Just look at the Evo it is not standard either! It looks like the poor man's BMW.....  

I get your argument but the intentions for the design of the GTR are much different than the R8. The performance you get from the GTR at the price is remarkable. If I had $80 grand sitting around I'd either get a used Viper SRT-10, a GTR or build the daylights out of an STi.

it's like a supercar that's more affordable than a 911 Turbo. True, a majority of the people who buy them are just gonna drive down to Starbucks, or cruise around downtown on a summer night where they can be seen. The car has all of these amazing features that so many supercars have come with, but how many of teh owners are gonna take the car to its full potential? and how many more of the innexperienced drivers out there are gonna wrap the GT-R that mom and dad bought them around a light pole?

I think they're overpricing it, because of the Hype of the car... Just like the Mugen Si which could go as high as 35K because of "Market Pricing"
