I saw another great race of the ALMS on ABC or NBC? cant remember I saw a car split in two and the Audi R10 going at it against the penske porche again. but in the real world car category I always see a porche or a ferrari on the podium or leaderboard. So which one would you pick as the better car a porche or Ferrari? Just asking I've never owned or driven one.

I would rather a ferrari.  I would pick the mid engine configuration over the rear engine configuration.  The porshe's rear is probably too unstable.  Plus I like the look of ferrari's better.  I would love to have a 360 modena, but rather a f40

Porsche, because for the most part they are a tighter handling car and don;t depreciate quite as quickly as a Ferrari would.

Firstly I'd buy one of the Japanese supercars, dump 40 grand and make it beat ferraris or porsches. Let the games begin.

When it comes to these two brands (whether or not you've ever driven or owned them), it all comes down to personal preference. Even if I had the money to buy a Ferrari or Porsche, I probably wouldn't get one unless I was SUPER RICH and had nothing to spend my money on. If I had to get a Ferrari, I'd get the fun ones. The old-school ones that didn't weigh as much as a truck and weren't loaded with electronic gizmos. The old-school ones were pure machines with a proper gearbox. I'd probably go for the 355 F1. When it comes to Porsches, maybe the older GT2's or the current day, top-of-the-line GT3's, GT2's, or Turbo's.
