New Models: Maserati Quattroporte shooting-brake built

Carrozeria Touring, an independent coachbuilding firm, has created a shooting-brake based on the Maserati Quattroporte.

Possibly the most elegant estate around, the Bellagio Fastback will be built to bespoke special order only.

The car will make its debut next weekend at the Villa d'Este Concours d'Elegance, a showcase by Lake Como for the world's finest luxury vehicles past and present-day. It'll be on display alongside cars including the Zagato Bentley Continental GTZ, BMW Concept CS, Bugatti Veyron Fbg by Hermes, Mercedes-Benz F700, Rinspeed sQuba and Lexus LF-A, as well as less rarefied concepts, one-offs and experimental vehicles including the Morgan LifeCar coupe, Hyundai HED-5, Renault Megane Coupe Concept, Cadillac CTS Coupe and Saab 9-X, as seen at either the Detroit or Geneva Motor Shows earlier this year.

Carrozzeria Touring has also announced that it is to unveil a new Superleggera (super-light) concept, which it describes as 'a sports car with thoroughbred Touring DNA.'
