I've been a subscriber to your magazine for at least the past 4 years and have loved every minute of it; unlike the others it's not about who has the chick with the biggest boobs posing on the hood of their ride.
Anyways the real reason I'm writing is to ask a question that even I call myself a dumbass for wanting to ask and wanting to do. But first let me explain the scenario.
I've always owned imports including 12 different first generation and second generation eclipses including a 330hp AWD Eclipse first generation with the cyclone engine swap. I love Mitsubishi however my first car was a '91 Toyota Celica GTS so naturally my real love is for Toyota. Now I am currently working on turbo charging a 1990 Honda CRX Si.
So now that I've gone way off track to somehow attempt to make my babbling seem like it means my question isn't as dumb as it is creative. I am currently the owner of a 5-speed 2005 V6 Ford Mustang (weird huh??).  I couldn't resist the deal it was brand new when I bought it for under $15,000.
Now the warranty is no longer on it and I will be able to pay it off in the next 2 years.  My thought is that I would like to drop a 2JZ-GTE in the 'stang and make those tires smoke.
I realize that this would take a ton of work as well as custom mounts, drive shafts, and engine management.  But the ultimate question is could you make it work? And if you can make it work would the bill be crazy?  Ultimately my goal for this car is to auto-cross it, that is why I feel the 3.0 inline twin turbo six would kick ass, what do you think?

This sounds like it'll be pretty cool if accomplished but it seems like you're expecting a reply from the editors in which case you should write to them or at least e-mail them.

Letters to the Editor:
Our e-mail address is sccnews@sourceinterlink.com.
Our fax number is (714) 978-6390.

Letters must contain the author's full name,
address and home telephone number.
Letters may be edited for content and/or length.

This is my suggestion because the editors don't visit these forums, at best the web designers do but they don't even work in the same building as the editoral staff.

Try emailing Turbo magazine they like crazy swap ideas like what you want to do.  Or you can email a mustang enthusiast site and see what they say.  They'll either that you've done something really crazy or be mad that you gutted Mustang and dropped a Toyota engine into it.

Go banana!

DUDE!!! MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!!! ITS LIKE YOU READ MY MIND!

Do you see how gullible I am with the smiley face? Confused maybe?

Just lube up the good old quad turbo v6 and squish it into the engine bay. Beware of the wiring harnesses while I am installing my drivetrain, I would hate to splatter critical fluids all over my latest issue of SCC. I'm sorry if some of my stupidity shot onto your face.

If you want stupid V8 loving people Im always here for you.

ptiue, the originator of this thread was probably Dave Coleman, being the original snide *** of the universe. In fact I'd bet money on it. He's a smart guy but clearly kind of an egotistical prick. Let me explain further...
A few years back the EDs asked the readers what kind of new project car they should build. I figured hey, they're mostly smart people, why not challenge them? So I suggested a mid engine rear drive Geo Metro. WTF, its a fantasy project car Dave. No need to be a dick about it because its not some magically ugly and just above mediocre Nissan Sentra. Go stroke your ego some more man.
