Seriously, you need to do better research before you spout such nonsense.
Porsche made the AWD, turbocharged 959 in 1987 that ran an 11.8 sec 1/4 mile. That kinda makes the Syclone/Typhoon NOT the first awd, and certainly not the fastest awd.

The GMC syclones were sold in austrila, japan, europe and america so it touched every spot around the world hence its gets the honors not porsche. Gee, I'm sorry, I missed the part where you said it had to be the "First mass produced awd turbo vehicle to run in the 13's that was allowed to be distributed worldwide."
Seriously? Are you really this ignorant? Porsche's car doesn't count because it wasn't allowed in the US? First produced is still first produced. You are a very delusional person. You should be medicated.

You totaly over look the fact that Porsche has a legacy of producen vehicle so unsafe some countries told them they couldnt sell it with in there borders. But you can get me on a technicality , you go boy.

Its not that the 959 wouldn't pass safety standards, its just that each 959 cost $500,000 to make, but was sold for $250,000. You seem a little slow, so I'll do some math for you-that means that Porsche lost $250,000 on each 959 they sold, but that was made up by sales of other models (Porsche sales skyrocketed after the 959 was rereleased), not to mention priceless brand credibility. Porsche didn't want to lose $2,000,000 worth of 959 ($500,000 x 4 959's) to get less than 200 959's made legal for the people who wouldn't even drive these museum pieces. And no, it did not pass emissions standrds, but that was easily remedied with the addition of a catalytic converter.
I hate to rag on other people, but people like Godspeed who put out the stupidest crap ever deserve it. And by the way, learn to type in english, moron.

To amuse Cwytt.... A engine is not a pump of air because of one major obstacle its doesn't suck or pump anything to be a pump it needs to suck. Air gets drawn into the engine because of one thing you dimwit... GRAVITY... When air and fuel are burnt in the chamber it creates a atmosphere of no oxygen and the air around it being presureized at around 14lbs because of gravity it enters on its own. Hence the term Naturally Aspirated. Don't believe me look at them side mounted carbs.... (But how does the fuel and air come in????? ) If you can't even figure out that then what the hell are you doing here ranting and talking like you know all that. In one phrase go back to basic mechanics class and quit going to the track and pretend your all that cuz you talk to the other idiots who just watch powerblock and think they're all that too....
Oh its a heat pump because cold (ambient) air comes in hot air comes out look it up google man!

but basically i was saying that an engine is a modified pump. Strokes 1,4 are suction and pumping portions of the engine. Stroke one increases the volume of the cylinder when the piston moves down created a lower pressure then the atmospheric pressure. This causes a pressure gradient and ambient air is drawn into the engine this way. While stroke 2 is compressing the air/mixture and stoke 3 is where pressure is converted to kinetic energy or work.
A engine is a heat engine but there is also work done by the production of gases. Octane being oxidized to carbon dioxide and water. That reaction creates more "moles" of gas creating higher pressures and hence more work.

NO PEOPLE the reason the 959 porsche couldnt enter the united states and many other countries around the world is cuase it couldnt pass safety standerds , Now cars like the Skyline etc couldnt get into the US cuase it couldnt pass Emissions . Nissan and porsche both hold long legacy of inablity to meet world safety and emission standerds.
