I was very disappointed in the quality of the paper used for the May, 2008 issue.  I hope this was a one time deal.  Its obvious that there has been a decline in advertising revenue given the shrinkage in pages we've seen over the last few years.  Is it that bad now so that the actual quality of the paper needs to suffer?  

I have every issue from Summer 1990 to the current one and have been a subscriber for many years.  I also subscribe to Grassroots Motorsports which along with SCC are my 2 favorite magazines.  Its been interesting to watch GRM rise to stardom over the last 10 years.  They are doing everything right and it shows.  SCC on the other hand held steady for a long time but seems to been in decline over the last year or two.  Maybe the people making the decisions should pick up an issue of GRM for some tips...  

I just got my May 2008 and it doesn't seem like this paper is any different that the ones I've had with previous issues. Is there a chance that it's just your copy that's printed on cheap paper?  

yeah...i'm not real sure what your talking about either because i'm thumbin through the one i just bought "May '08" and it seems like the same ol' mag so you just might wanna lay off the lsd and x
