Master_Shake029.... you really need to get your head out of your ass and realize just because you spend $10k plus on a car doesnt mean its king ***

I could spend 10k total on a cav and be deep into the 12s on a bad day. Also included in that build would be dual 65mm piston front brakes with 12" rotors. IRS with single piston calipers and 11" rotors. A built motor with eagle rods and wiseco pistons with the ability to rev to 8192 (limitations of tuning software). Also have an completely upgraded suspension (tein SS coilovers sway bars poly bushings ss brake lines... etc.)

Jbodies have the ability to make potent motors from stock parts from other motors.... the Quad 4 2.3 and Twincam 2.4 have lots of parts that interchange to make the 2.4 that much better. Plus the 2.4 has an almost square motor, meaning for dumbasses like you that you can rev the *** out of it and make tq/hp all day long unlike the hondas everyone here seems to own with their short stroke. Its time to realize Jbodies have more potential then all realize and just because the aftermarket doesnt support us we can create awesome cars. We dont have the ability to just go out to Autozone and buy our parts like you have said.

Im sorry to say just because all the cavs around your way are riced out doesnt mean all are, and look at it this way. How many cavaliers were produced compared to how many civics. I know when going to work i see TONS of them.

If your ever in WI come visit us (Team GREEN) and we will show you what a real cavalier can do.

And please flame me with your useless comments about how your $40k cars are sooooo much better when our cars were most deffinately not made to be what we do with them. Just because we are not as stupid you to pay insane amounts of money on overpriced parts that barely increase hp/tq doesnt mean you have to hate on us.

tsk...tsk...tsk... You dumb fool you made yourself look stupid. You don't need a 40k car to be a badass or a 100k. I paid 25k for my Z.

Now for the jugular.

a car should not be noted for the engine or the swaps or how many they were made. Remember the all-track turbos? not many around, but very decirable. A car should not be considered for its engine alone or availability, but for its balance! Can you understand that? I would buy a miata instead of my Z if it came to that, or a bloody focus or any bloody car that came with balance! and not 50/50 you dumb quater-mile nimwhit. I mean badass suspension, good brakes, and a potent if not peppy engine to take it all home that's the cars that in my book equal "Bad ass cars" The cavalier is just a grocery shopping, give your kid to go to colledge car. Quarter mile is so boring! ohh he did 12's. So! I went that fast going sideways and I almost shittted myself. The engine maybe yeah who gives a *** how much you can rev it. if the chasis flexes like them crazy straws, the suspension travels as much as an amish on labor day, and the brakes are just meant work on stop and go traffic what's the use?! Tell me! Then you go an put a V6 on it and say "Now its Complete!" Taking away what little balance it had and flushing it down the toilet. What a load of crap. Flush twice! Ingratefull idiots you guys just have a major case of inferiority complex.

If I have to listen more of this bull then maybe I'll dig my head up my ass just not to hear it. If this is the arguments that everyone has to hear then why dont you just buy an 80's camaro since that's practically what you're aiming for. And a lot of people can back me up on this one.  and now I made myself look cool.

I bet you hacked away at the brake balance, dropped the suspension too much, didn't even bother to check the camber or toe-in, and used the wrong set of springs. I've only seen one type of coil-over kit for those craps, and they are from tokico not that other stuff you use. You cav guys don't listen until your hit the wall spin out or get smoked by the competition. I used to be into 1/4 mile util I got out of puverty a good 6 years ago. Balance my annoying friend balance is the true way to driving zen... and I'll leave with that don't bother me again. and try looking for a camaro anytime soon cuz that's all I'm hearing... "Quarter mile, power, engine, beat hondas!!!!"  

Don't worry I might hold you up to your proposition...

^^^You, kid, do have your head up your ass! Did you even read his post!? Maybe he confused you when he mentioned IRS swap. Maybe Tein SS coilovers confused you as well. Have that "Master" mind of yours tell your eyes to work. He didn't just bring up the 1/4 mile. He mentioned the suspension upgrades as well. Who says, "I did a lap at VIR in under 4 minutes!"? Normally the speed of a car translates into 1/4 because you can time a 1/4 mile and more poeple have access to a 1/4 mile unlike VIR(Virginia International Raceway for the acronym impaired).

Most of us in the J-body community have respect for other tuner's vehicles because we understand what it takes to make a below average car above average. It takes very little effort to trans form a Z, just add a supercharger. The RSX-s has probably the most developed 4 cyl ever engineered and is not in the same league as a J-body so the average person compares the J to the civic. Although there are plenty of J's that can run with the RSX-s.

You talk about balance but then contradict yourself by saying you would buy a Miata. Why didn't you? It is less than your Z and is one of the most highly regarded vehicles for balance. Get your head out of your ass and you might stop talking SH!T.

all right anohter one annoys me... you retarted old man.

What is his spring setup? How much did he drop the car? What rims is he using? Tire sizes? What brake pads? Is the brake set up to 115% or 125? What is the size of the anti-roll bars? (if he is even using them..) You old people or whatever you are should be asking this. You can't just bolt on whatever you want and say its "balanced"  And even you contradiction of my car is wrong... You just need a supercharger what kind of bull is that... Why don't you buy a miata? and heres another one If you could afford it what would you get a miata or a Z? The answer is ovious. here's another one A Cavalier or a Miata? even more ovious. For the crap you wasted on a P.O.S. you could've bought a perfectly good Miata, but did you? NO!  

To make it even more painfull. In CASA NISSAN of El Paso they have an 03 Z "touring" for 20K and they also have an 03 Miata for 13K and finally they have a Cavalier for 17K The answer is obious. If you could which one? You will never learn cuz you'll never admit. Trash is trash and why are you racing Civics in the first place. A supercar can only be called that by the person owning it, not by comparing it to other cars and dissing them, "OH its much faster." My car went against a porche on an empty stretch of highway and I don't consider my car even half as good as the Proche, but I had fun. You ingrates just want a reason to own those pieces of crap. In all sincerety go buy a Miata.... and I'll leave with that.

hey uh master im new to this but from wat i read if ur such a nissan man why do u have a subi wrx as your avatar. oh and just so u know all cavis can look good ive turned a 4 door cavi into a competition show car that has been the delta bodied cobalts in multiple shows so dont be ragging on a car that could stand toe to toe with your nissan

the same reason you would pick a nissan over a miata regardless of the balance is the same reason the rest of us might pick a camaro over a mustang and a cavalier over a civic. again.... regardless of balance... alot of it has to do with personal preference....
i have a camaro, a trans am, and a cavalier, all of which i could have got something different, but i am a chevy/pontiac guy.
i love the feel of all three cars...
none of which i have had a problem with any one part of the balance over powering another...
the cavalier handles at a level that i feel is equal to how it performs, and the same goes for the t/a and camaro...

if it doesnt handle as well as it performs, dont drive it like it does...

the car doesnt make the driver, the driver makes the car...

Here's what I think - so what if a car sucks in stock form? Isn't the whole point and origin of the Sport Compact movement to improve these miserable little econo-boxes? A lot of the progenitors of the movement, like the 510, Civic, etc. were designed with the same goals in mind as the Cavelier - reliability, economy, and affordability. But how many neato Civics have you seen in the mag? Why couldn't that be a Cavalier?

Oh my my my!... Whats this?....  4doorcavi and some other guy insulting me "How come you have a picture of a subi?!"  LOL is that it? LOL! I am a nissan man I'll admit I'm in complete obsesion and love with the Z model and I always wanted a 240Z but they're kinda rare nowadays; And I did roll-over 9 times when I crashed my 350Z so what you implying?...huh? How come there ain't a picture of a nissan? The subi? I am more of a rally fan it is my bread and butter for motorsports bar none. I love the exiliration the thrill and the voice in the back of your head saying "Don't be a pussie FLOOR IT!" as I see a turn into  oblivion... And a giant grin on my face. I wrote a thread when I crashed my mercedes rallying you should look it up.

To settle it I guess for now..... Please do tell me about your car.... not so I can rant about it, but to I guess educate myself on what people do with those things (abominations); you do read SCC don't you? so I can imagine it is better than those fart muffler POS's I see here in the South-West. (all five million) I'm not going to rant but if your going to talk smack I at least want you to back it up. Ball is in yo' court homie.....  (LOL)

also if you could do a test. put a bunch of cones in a parking lot 100ft in radius and follow this formula

G force= radius of circle (feet) x 1.225

and I'll see a Z has about .88 stock from the factory with just eiback springs or bilstein I forget and Koni shocks....  Just Research and Development thats all..... NO more *** talking no more crass arguments just numbers...

Any info would be greatly apretiated.

you can spend $5k on a cavalier and make it kinda fast...you can spend $10k on a cavalier and make it even faster...you could even spend $15k or more and make it really fast and even do body modifications but at the end of the day bro...your still drivin' a *** cavalier so if thats what your into then so be it but you won't have my attention on how fast you made a high school chick transporter...

now before you start slingin' *** at me for bein a "hater" ill just start by tellin you I really don't give a *** because i have never (and never will) pull up to a cavalier and feel threatened about gettin my ass kicked. I have never seen a cavalier that looked better than my car and many other peoples car at that. And i've seen an aray of different j-bodies completely transformed exterior-wise.

But..i guess do your own thing and have fun "tricking" out your caviqueers, but the day this magazine publishes the first print of their j-body project then ill tell them to stick their subscription w/ me up their ass cuz then that would mean that this magazine has totally went under.

oh and if they did it would be the worst project that have in their garage all together especially performance-wise so now i think it wouldn't be that bad of an idea because it could really show how terrible of a car it is.
