Alright.. Well a couple months ago, I was so close to getting a '97 Honda Prelude SH, but had to back out of the deal because of some untold things about the car that the seller failed to mention... anyways, I've been thinking about some cars, but nothing hits me. I like RWD, definately. I've been driving a FWD '89 Honda Civic Hatch and i do not like it at all. I end up burning out sometimes making a turn because i give it a good amount of power, combineded with the wheels turning makes it loose traction. Well anyways I don't like it. I know this is a B R O A D question, but i was wondering if some people could give me some low price (around 10,000) choices, and some information about them. That would be greatly appreciated.

look for a Nissan 240SX then, (the  Silvia, with a truck motor and tranny). They handle pretty well stock, and that 2.4L I4 is just BEGGING for more power!!!

the key to going faster, is being a better driver!

RX-7s are amazing cars but they have reliabilty problems (engine blowing up ect.) and they are pretty rare.  I dont have any first hand experience with it though....

What exactly are you looking for other than RWD?  Will you be driving alot of people?  How many doors, you want it convertible or hatch maybe?

Here would be my picks.  The late 80s early 90s mustangs, 240SX for sure, 86 Toyota Corolla GT-S if you can find a good one, Mazda Miata, Nissan 300ZX, E36 BMWs, 90s Mustangs and Cameros....10,000 gives you alot of options.

hmm... No i will not be driving a lot of people, i would like a coupe, although sedan isn't horrible, hatch in the sense of a supra or rx-7, not a honda civic style.. alreaady have that lol.

The 300zx sounds good. My friend has one, haven't really talked to him in awhile though, he somewhat lost his interest in cars.... i know, its sad... oh well. But anyways yeah 300zx doesn't sound bad at all... can you tell me anymore about it?

...thanks for all your previous information.!

RWD, 2 door, and a V6 VQ30 engine that has a huge aftermarket and can come either naturally aspirated, turbo or twin turbo.  I think SCC has a buyers guide for the 300ZX, I know they had one for the Miata...

I know you said you liked the 300ZX, which I grant you is a great car.  But might I also recomend a late 80's early 90's Supra.  They can make some prodigious power and I don't think that it would be terribly hard to find.  Other then that...I think the 300ZX would be a good bet.  Although alot can be said for the fox body mustangs.  I'm just going to throw this out there for the hell of it but...if you are intrested in RWD 4 cylinder and a turbo, that handles very well...I highly recomend a mid to late 80's Merkur XR4Ti.  It's basically the same as the Mustang Cobra SVO but with an independent rear suspension and a better intake manifold.  Finding one might be hard, but they are well worth the look if you can find one, and they can be had pretty damn cheap, cause one no one really knows that the hell it is.  Just some ideas, but like I said either way you cant really go wrong.  Just build it up and have some fun with it.

Or you could look for a clean mr2 turbo for that kind of money.  And who can argue with exotic looks, mid-engine, and rear wheel drive?
