ever think about the MK2 turbo? or the older 300ZX? Maybe the 1991 Miata. You deside. Just look around for one.

Depends is this your first car or not? Do you have alotta money for repairs? Ive heard the MR2 is plauged with alotta wire problems and things of that nature. Do some reach on like www.KellyBlueBook.com . Think outside the box sometimes. Why not an old school VW Rabbit? Look into some Euros not just *** cars.

Civic - Prelude - Accord
Neon
Any DSM (Dimond Star Motors) Lazer - Eclipse - Talon
Older Sentra (200sx) or a 240.

Be creative dont just want another civic.

What are you looking to get out of the car?  If you just want a cheap, fast street machine I think you should go wiht a Miata.  Only problem is that they have no trunk space or back seat and you might not like roadsters.

Any DSM is a good choice and I personally love Toyotas.  Other than that you can get yourself a BMW E30 or E36 for under 5 grand.  Parts are not cheap though.

Well if this is your first car then I don;t recommend anything fast, simply from the standpoint that you should first get you normal driving perfect then spring for power. i know it goes against our nature, but trust me, in the long run it's safer, and better experience.

I will assume this IS your first, so I recommend a Civic, Intergra, Sentra, early MR2, Fiero, Mustang 2.3, Or a J-body (Sunbird or Cavalier). All these cars are good starter cars and also have a platform to build on for later.

I would actually suggest against the MR2 and ESPECIALLY the Fiero. Being a mid engined car.. they can bite HARD if you overcook a corner and even think about lifting.. let alone touch the brakes. The Fiero is especially known for swapping ends when at close to the limit.

Hm. Yeah, I could see that. I never had any probs with the Fiero, but didn't own one either (friends car). If that is an issue then I too suggest against it.
