hmmm fellas.....back again for ya'll to shoot me with some more knowledge......now i've heard of so many people using the Q45 throttle body for more air flow in their motors......my thoughts are that this wouldn't make much sense for me because i'm keepin mah motor N/A (N/A KA24DE).....i'm goin for 180whp.....so either way, what can i do with the whole intake process to make the best of what i've got???? i've heard a lot about individual throttle bodies.....but it sounds like a lengthy process and expensive process.....either way......shoot me with thou knowledge!!!!!!!!

ok this is my though on the whole bigger throttle body subject. most OEM bodies are sized just right, not to small not too big, perfect for what the motor flows, if you just add a bigger throttle body to a stock motor what will happen is that the torque curve will move down slightly and you might get a little better response, but over all top end power is going to be the same because the motor itself is not anymore efficient. now on a turbo motor once again there is no use because your pushing positive pressure through it and when you have pressure there really is no restriction, now the only time i like to see a TB is on a supercharged car, like when you have a screw supercharger and its sucking through the TB, when you have a vacuum you can have tons of restrictions and that is the only time i have seen a bigger TB work really good. now about the individual TB, its a great system if your looking for top end power, each cylinder gets the same amount of air and everything but because you loose the plenum you tend to loose a fair amount of torque especially down low. now some people will build a box around the ITB and say that helps, but what they did now is just waste their money on ITB to make basically a tuned intake manifold that can be brought a lot cheaper, i like ITB for race cars, period.

The Q45 throttle body modification, as you say, is a popular one for people who supercharge their 350Zs and G35s.  Otherwise, dont bother.
