Just thoutht you'd all find this interesting:

We knew it was merely a matter of time before it happened... anyone want to take a guess at when they win their first race? Or further still, if this will bring in other Japanese manufacturers (namely Nissan)?

How are americans going to feel when the only "real" american sport or the only "real" racing have gone to the japanese? How will it look when the Chargers and so on get overtaken by a CAMRY

i knew this was going to happen for a while, they have been fighting for 1 year on this issue and i guess they are letting them in, i have not yet read what you sent so i'm just guessing. I hope they bring in others like honda remember that 80% of the engines in F1 are honda engines, so i wonder what they will do to nascar if they come in.

I had a feeling the truck series was only the beginning. I'd bet there are a lot of good ol' boys who'd say "That dog won't hunt" and then accuse Toyota of cheating when it wins the Cup on it's first year. Which would be hypocritical, since many of those good ol' boys are probably driving Camrys anyways.

It's bad enough that the car they'll be using is the Camry. I suppose the car Honda would have to use would be the Accord, with Nissan's being an Altima or Maxima. Hmm... interesting to see how this'll pan out.

not that it will matter.. The only thing a NASCAR Camry would have in common with one you or I could buy at the dealer is the name.

You got that right. My uncle has a "Monte Carlo" for circle-track racing (Super Late Model), and I don't think there's a single Monte Carlo part on the car. The whole thing is a collection of aftermarket parts assembled to make a car.
You can bet this Camry will be the same way.

I think Toyota is doing a great thing entering the Nextel Cup. Not for the U.S. automakers and the economy, but for broadening the competition.
All the cars are the same anyway. They just wrap them in a diffent shape and put a diffent name on it. I might acctually watch a couple races once Toyota is in though.

Lot of NASCAR racers are caught cheating when extra fuel lines are found in the cars.

Here's some new info and a few shots of what the car might look like:

I HATE NASCAR. I mean think about you are driving in circles for a few hours with all these cautin flags. I use to like it intill theiy changed it so much. the points are stupid. the only thing good about it is the recks, and Jimmy Johnson #48. when thier is a wreck thiey should get to race during it to make it more exciting.
