My friend has a stock Mini Cooper S, and he's looking for some new wheels to make the mini look and hopefully perform better for cheap. He's looking for mainly the web-spoke styling, but he is flexible. He doesnt want anything outrageously expensive. He found some Flik Artic's for 100 bucks apiece, and he found it a bit suspicious that these wheels would be so cheap for the quality they claim. he asked me if these wheels were any good. having had no experience whatsoever with Flik, i'm wondering if you guys could tell me whether they are any good. Also he wants to know how the offset, difference in weight etc. would affect the car's stance and handling. If you think these wheels are probably not such a good idea, please provide an alternative if possible. Thanks guys.

I have heard that they are a good quality for the price. For the looks anyway. They are a little weak from the word I heard on some other forums. If he is just doing every day driving they will hold up.
As for the offset,I don't have the the mini's memorized. Don't change it is what I recomend. BMW designed it with that offset for a reason. That is whereit handles the best, and causes the least stress on the wheel bearings and hubs.
Bigger wheels are heavier, harder to turn, and more unsprung weight. PLUS 1 is the biggest jump you would want to go on the Mini S if you are worried about handling and comfort. If you just care about show... I can't help you. Not My thing.

another (stupid) question: If he changes the centerbore and backspacing of the wheel, will it greatly affect his car's handling, and tire wear? will it cause problems? thanks guys.
