I know that one of the reasons the SR20DET swap into an S13 240SX is so easy is because it has the same motor mounts as the KA24DE. My question is: Is it possible to build an SR20 powered Nissan Hardbody truck with a five-speed and 4WD? I know 4WD wouldn't work with the SR20's transmission, but could I build an adaptor plate. right? Could I build an adaptor plate to the automatic?

interesting question. If the Nissan Hardbody uses an external transfer case, you might be able to use the 240's tranny.
I used to drive a two wheel drive Hardbody pickup for work. With the five speed it was both great on gas AND a lot of fun to drive. Little truck could be driven sideways down the road quite a few feet with all the torque and light weight

I'd want an extended cab, prefferably an off-road oriented model to go to the desert in. I would get it in forest green. I'm only interested in it because of the SR20 swap, but there are tuning oppurtunities for a KA24, I saw it in the 2/06 issue of SCC. Junkyard turbocharging it might be the way to get extra torque from it for cheap. Can the automatic handle a turbo, cause I don't want a stickshift in a truck if I don't have to.
Side note-is there anything I can do to my current car? It's a 1993 Buick Century Special four-door with a V6 and an automatic. Can I do anything for free? Right now it has spinner wheel covers (one got stolen) and a paintbrushed racing stripe, for fun. It still has to pass inspection.

wow i actually feel sorry. That is horrible, can someone get this kid something a tad more sporty? through away the airbox and filter if you have complete disregard for the car, but because of contaminants that would probably not be cool. advancing timing + 0$+ higher octane =horsepower. Advance more then a few degrees is bad though
