Why in the hell do people in those TV shows like Over-haulin' and all the rest put carburetors on their cars instead of fuel injected. And then they get some schmoe who apparently dosen't know much ecxept 350 small/big block chevy's. It all seems so cliche'. Like why not put the engine of a cadillac CTS-V or the Corvette Z06 for a change? Oh wait they do for the vette but the put CARBS on it! Any thoughts?

properly set up,Carbs can make some pretty decent power. They also generally have better throttle response than electronic fuel injection (mechanical injection is a different beast all together.)
Two more things: Carbs look great on an engine and they sound even better when at wide open throttle.
Just remember, overhaulin is no more what really modifying a car is about than what reality shows are to the real world.
