I think this would be a great article for the next issue, Taking weight off a street car, what can you do? how much does it cost? how much does it take off? and what is the comprimise or benifit after?
Foe example I have an 01 SUBARU IMPREZA L, there are light weight STi bumper beams avaible, light weight wheels (even lug nuts), C/F hoods and trunks, I could save weight by going to a coilover suspension, taking out the A/C, and speakers, going to plexiglass for windshields (which is not recomended for street cars). I could take out the heavy stock front seats and replace them, there are light weight batteries avaible, and now I see tires have c/f in them.
If I wana know, probably others want to aswell

I think you just addressed most of the issue of weight reduction.
